INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE "MODERN PROBABILISTIC METHODS FOR ANALYISIS AND OPTIMIZATION OF INFORMATION AND TELECOMMUNICATION NETWORKS" (THE TWENTY FIRST BELARUSSIAN WINTER WORKSHOP IN QUEUEING THEORY) (BWWQT - 2011)

Belarusian State University, Minsk, Belarus, January 31 - 3 February, 2011

PLACE AND HOST
The Belarussian Winter Workshops in Queueing Theory (BWWQT) have been held annualy since 1985 and biennially since 1999 in one of the Belarussian towns. This time the BWWQT- 2011 will be held on January 31 - 3 February, 2011 at the Belarusian State University, Minsk. Belarus is located between Poland and Russia. Minsk is Capital of Belarus (which is approximately halfway between Moscow and Warsaw). Minsk is city with more than 1.5 million of residents. It is known since 1067 but because of the numerous wars at the Belarus territory it was destroyed many times and after the Second World War only a few buildings and churchs remained. Therefore Minsk is a city of the "soviet" architecture of the second half of the 20th century. There is the Troitskoe Predmestje - the district of the reconstructed old buildings. There are several universities and several research institutions in the communication, computer and software areas (including the Science Academy) in Minsk.

SCIENTIFIC PROGRAM
The conference will deal with various aspects of queues, flows and networks. It is aimed to discuss new theoretical results of this area and to share already existing experiences in the practical problems. The list of topics includes but not restricted by the following major topics: - Event flows - Queueing systems - Queueing networks - Statistical analysis of queues - Applications of the queueing theory in the communication and computer networks, distributed data bases, call centers, etc.
